Iyengar Yoga is a method of instruction set forth by yoga master BKS Iyengar, (1918-2014) whose many texts include the classic "Light on Yoga."  He is responsible for spreading the art and philosophy of yoga during a time when 'yoga' was unknown.  Yoga has gained huge popularity, due, in great part, to his efforts. Called the "Michelangelo of yoga" and named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people, B. K. S. Iyengar's legacy universally acknowledges him as a genius on the subject of Yoga.
